David's Tree Lopping

Gutters clean. Roof safe.

Choked gutters cost more than clean ones. Water damage, ember risk, rotted fascia, all from leaves you can’t see from the ground. We scoop the lot by hand, flush every downpipe, and prove it with photos.

Bad pruning is the number one thing that kills trees on residential blocks. Topped trees regrow weak and rotten. Done properly, pruning adds decades to a tree’s life.

Blocked gutters are an expensive problem in disguise

Out of sight, out of mind, until the ceiling stains, the fascia rots, or an ember catches on a leaf bed during fire season. Two cleans a year is the cheapest insurance you’ll ever buy on your house.

  • Water damage to walls and ceilings

Overflowing gutters spill water down brickwork and behind cladding. Mould inside, rot outside, repairs in the thousands.

  • Ember and bushfire risk

Dry leaf litter in your gutter is the number one ignition source in ember attack. NSW RFS recommends quarterly cleans in fire-zones.

  • Sagging gutters and rotted fascia

A full gutter is heavy. Add a downpour and it tears off the brackets, pulling the fascia and eaves down with it.

  • Pest haven up top

Choked gutters hold water. Mosquitoes breed, rats nest, possums dig in. None of which you want under your roofline.

What a proper gutter clean actually looks like

Most cheap operators stand on a ladder with a leaf blower and call it done. We climb up, scoop the sludge by hand, flush every downpipe, and prove the work with photos.

Hand-scooped debris

Leaves, twigs, sludge, and silt physically lifted out and bagged. Not just blown around the yard or down the drain.

Looking for a team to help you with gutter cleaning?

You’ll get honest advice, clear pricing, and no pushy sales talk. Just what you need, when you need it.

How much does gutter cleaning cost in Wollongong?

Single-storey homes typically run $200 to $350. Two-storey $350 to $550. Big or complex rooflines $550-plus. Every quote is fixed and written up-front, all-in. No surprise additions on the day.

How often should gutters be cleaned in the Illawarra?

Twice a year suits most Wollongong homes (autumn and spring). Quarterly if you've got gums nearby or you're in a bushfire-zone. Once a year is the absolute minimum, and most home insurance policies expect at least that.

Do you flush every downpipe?

Always. We hose-test every single one. Most blocked-gutter problems are actually blocked downpipes, and most cheap operators skip them entirely. Ours is the difference between a clean that lasts six months and a clean that lasts six weeks.

What if I'm not home on the day?

All good. As long as we've got side access and you've signed off on the quote, we'll clean, flush, photograph, and send you the report when we leave. Payment after the photos land, your choice.

Are you insured for working at heights?

Yes. $20 million public liability and full WorkCover. Every crew member is trained in ladder safety, harness use, and EWP (cherry picker) operation. Certificate of Currency available on request.

Do you also clean roofs, ridge caps and moss?

Yes. Roof wash, ridge-cap re-bedding, and moss treatment can be bundled in the same visit so you only pay one call-out. Ask for the bundle when you quote and we'll price it together.

Can you put me on a recurring schedule?

Yes. 6-monthly or quarterly, whichever your roof needs. We just turn up at the agreed window. You don't have to remember to book.
