Every storm season we get calls from people who waited too long. The job is always bigger and more expensive than it would have been six months earlier.

— David, owner

When a tree becomes a liability, not an asset

The longer you wait, the bigger the risk. A dead branch above a roofline isn’t a maintenance task, it’s a phone call to your insurer waiting to happen.

  • Dead or dying trees

Fungal rot, hollow trunks, and dieback all mean the next storm could put a tree through your roof.

  • Roots cracking pipes and slabs

Once roots find a pipe, they don't stop. Removal is cheaper than re-plumbing or re-paving.

  • Trees too close to the house

Branches over the roof drop leaves into gutters, scratch tiles, and shade out lawn underneath.

  • Storm damage waiting to happen

Snapped limbs, split trunks, and leaning trees can come down in the next big southerly. Get ahead of it.

How much does tree removal cost in Wollongong?

Most residential removals run between $400 and $4,500. It depends on the tree size, access, how close it is to your house or pool, and whether you want the stump ground out too. You'll get a written quote before we start, with everything included.

Do I need council approval to remove a tree in the Illawarra?

Sometimes. Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama councils protect certain species, plus any tree over a set size. If the tree is dead or dangerous, you can usually skip the permit. We'll let you know what's needed when we come out, and point you to the right form.

Will you remove the stump and the waste?

Yes. Branches get chipped on site, the trunk goes for firewood or gets carted off, and we can grind the stump too if you want (extra). We rake the lawn before we leave, so you don't have a mess to deal with.

Are you fully insured?

Yes. $20 million public liability, plus workers' comp for everyone on the crew. Happy to send through the Certificate of Currency whenever you ask.

How quickly can you get to my property?

Most quotes come back within 24 hours. Most jobs are booked and done within the week. If it's storm damage or something dangerous, give us a ring on 0468 030 660 and we'll push it up the list.

Can you remove trees near power lines?

Yes, but it takes a bit more work. Anything within 3 metres of overhead power needs clearance from Endeavour Energy. We sort that out for you so you're not stuck on the phone for a week.

What areas do you cover?

All of the Illawarra: Wollongong, Corrimal, Figtree, Thirroul, Bulli, Dapto, Albion Park. Plus the Southern Highlands, down the South Coast as far as Nowra, and parts of Sydney. Not sure if you're in range? Just give us a call.
